Check the Dino Aspie cafe thread ! ! Quite a few of us older ASpies are rabid fans ! !!

Personally, I have every one of their albums in vinyl, several are imports from Japan, and all the albums on CD. One of my favorites is an Aussie release of DSOTM, on Pink vinyl to commerate their Oz Tour.

Yes, very much. People may actually still be listening to them in 100 years.

I read "Inside Out" by Nick Mason, and even if you're only a bit of a Floyd fan, it's a must-read. he doesn't detail every single thing that happened to them, but does tell a lot of the story we've never heard before. For instance, the band was in bad shape financially in 1978, and asked Rog if he had anything written up that could be made into a new album. He had some things sketched out for "The Pros and Cons of Hitchiking", which they didn't like, and some bits for a project he called "The Wall". It was all scattered, with pieces of this and that.

Unbeleivable ! !! One of the best selling albums ever recorded, and it started out with the four of them saying "well, maybe we can make something out of this."

As to the 100 years from now comment, I believe yer correct ! ! People will still identify with the lyrics, and musicians will still be asking "how the hell did he play that??"

Oh, by the way, Nick Mason is the only member of the band to have played on every album.

Look it up ! !

I haven't had time to download and explore their discography, but I plan to sometime over the summer.

When writing this I notice how absurd I am.
Pink Floyd was/is my preferred band, even though I only know their music until The wall, that I only listened few times.
But I will soon get their sound, and liste to their "new" songs.

One of my favourite bands, especially fond of their earlier work. They hail from Cambridge too, so they're something of a 'local' group.

I think they are a great band. I like spacing out and listening to the whole of Dark Side of the Moon. And one of my favourite songs ever is Comfortably Numb.

Overall i think they are over-rated.
I do like "The Final Cut" though.
It's a good album.

They are one of my top 10 favorite bands of all time. I've been listening to alot of their earlier stuff like A Saucerful of Secrets and Meddle. Basically when Syd Barrett was still in the band.

The Pink is the stink! They are totally awesome! They are my favorite rock band ever! I am convinced Syd was an aspie and maybe Roger. They should get their bro-blems under wraps and get back to the studio. DON'T TELL ME IT IS OVER! I will never believe it. Anyway, yah, I am a fan, and been one for the majority of my life as of yet.

But by the way, which one's Pink?
