I am tired most of the time, as in I struggle not to fall asleep during the day most days. Is this because of overstimulation?

If you notice that you're particularly tired after being around a lot of people, or something that grates on any sensory hypersensitivities, then I would say it's quite likely. I find that it can also be caused by the extra load on my brains when I interact with people - for example, trying to work out the context of a situation by working through all the possibilities, to compensate for missed social cues. If I go to a social event where there are a lot of people, I'm usually completely exhausted the next day, and have to spend some time away from people to recharge.

Oh, yes.
Often I wake up after a night's sleep feeling like I could turn over and do it all over again.
I do have another condition besides my autism which also contributes to my fatigue.

Interacting with others tends to exhaust me. But sometimes I may just be depressed, which can lead to drowsy periods during the day.

I'm always tired. I have to work early in the morning most days and it is a struggle for me to get out of bed no matter what time I went to bed the previous night. I think overstimulation is a likely cause in my case.

My colleague was on sick today and I spent most of the time on my own. I wasn't tired at all as I am almost every day after work, even though I had to do everything on my own.

I think I need to look for another job.

I have found that going to the gym, with headphones on blasting drum n bass really has helped my tiredness, I sleep better and the workout clears my brain.

The Citalopram has really helped too, I was so bloody sick of worrying all the time and just before Christmas wanted to stop living, so it seems for me, I may have found a way of dealing with the sh***y bit of autism, anxiety.

I used to crash and sleep for days and have a week off work every 4 months or so

Exercise wires me up. I have insomnia that gets worse when ever I exercise. Even after sleep I rarely wake up feeling refreshed. Ve wondered if cortisol is disrupted somehow

Make sure you don't eat or drink anything that contains caffeine
Chocolate and other unlikely sources

SSRI medication badly disrupts my sleep

It is best to some cardio each day but don't overdo it (as mentioned above)

Cut down on carbs, so they don't make you drowsy

Always tired but it's even worse when I have to go out of the house or communicate with people. Just have had to learn to deal with it.

i can't remember what it's like not to be tired. i couldn't always fall asleep because there's sometimes too much going on in my head, but i would certainly always like to go to sleep. i thought it was because of depression, but i've been taking ssris that seem to help with everything else, so that might not be the case.. have a difficult time being conscious of overstimulation, but maybe i should pay more attention my body
