Hi:
I was wondering how many of you have wondered whether Leo DiCaprio might have some form of Asperger's Syndrome.

1. He hates small talk
2. He has a one track mind and major obsession with the environment and other nerdy things
3. Has social problems
4. Unlike the rest of Hollywood he is not married
5. He's aloof
6. Like quiet environments at parties
7. He's quirky
8. Not a fan of interviews

People in the creative fields think differently. That does not mean they are Autistic and most of them even the ones who are most different are not autistic. It is likely that a higher percentage of people in the creative fields are autistic then in the general population.

If Leonardo DiCaprio is "on the spectrum", then he definitely deserves an Academy Award for portraying a normal person in real life.

As far as the "Normal" part goes, he's a person first and that's what makes him so extraordinary along with all the wondering talent and hard work that Leo had puts into his career. Also I think his mother did a lot of mentoring with him as well.

Well, then why don't you ask Mr. DiCaprio, instead?

Thank you, I swear I didn't put it there but since we sometimes have this glitch here where someone goes and edits their profile and it shows someone else's instead, maybe they put it there. :shrugs:

OCD/OCPD is a common comorbid with autism. So, maybe.

He has had enormous success with women, having dated a string of supermodels and has been known to hit on and pick up women for fun everywhere he goes...I know of no aspie, no matter how successful who even comes close to 1% of that. That fact alone should disqualify him from aspiedom.

I doubt it, when you're so successful and famous I imagine it can be very isolating but I don't think he suffers the social deficit that we do.

If he were able to do that before he became famous then I would agree with you. But a good looking aspie guy who is as famous as he is is gonna have as many "groupies" after gets famous as any comparable NT star has.

Supermodels aren't groupies. Most other movie stars haven't been with the sheer number and quality of women that he has.
