I didn't quite like the electronic music that they chose for this trailer. It doesn't fit a fantasy setting. I was really looking forward to the Warcraft movie as a fan of the earlier RTS's but the negative reception that Ratchet and Clank got has kind of put a downer on the hopes and expectations that I had for the other 3 game adaptations coming out this year, including this one.

Well, the trailer is bad but I happen to know that this music is not in the movie. On the other hand, Legendary has now been releasing character promos that actually look a lot better to me. Tell me if you think that this looks better:
Yeah, holy s**t. What a terrible choice of music! Were they unable to obtain the rights to the actual Warcraft soundtrack. This one would have fit perfectly!
Warcraft has one of the best soundtracks of any game ever in my opinion, so it'd be a shame if they can't include any of it.
Really hating the amount of Garona there is. I understand she is a 'strong female character', but her character development throughout the Warcraft lore was sooooo weak, and someone like Jaina would have been a much better choice for a lead female role. Admittedly, she doesn't quite fall into this timeline which is a shame.
I'm going into the movie with low expectations, so hopefully I will be surprised!

It does look better. I'll remain somewhat optimistic about the film.

Same here because the film was directed by the same director who directed Moon and Source Code.

Both character promos are good. Just be glad Universal didn't hire that hack Uwe Boll to direct the film. However, the film's development would have been interesting if Sam Raimi didn't drop out of the project.

I kind of disagree. While Sam Reimi has shown himself to be a talented director with regards to the Spiderman film, his version of the movie was falling into a number of the pitfalls that generally cause most video game adaptations to fail in the first place. To give some examples, he actually rejected the origin story that they're now doing because he thought that it would be too similar to the "Lord of the Rings" and that the current Warcraft fanbase mostly comes from the "World of Warcraft" MMORPG rather than the earlier RTS's (wrong reason to reject that story in my opinion) and secondly his script had the orcs as all evil (generic fantasy stuff and unfaithful to the game where neither side is truly evil and you can pick either side).
In my opinion, the fact that Duncan jones went back to the idea that Sam Reimi rejected is actually smart because given that WoW has the same lore and in the same universe as those early games anyway, not only was Reimi wrong about WoW fans potentially not liking it but that since it starts from the beginning, it has potential to draw in new audiences without them needing any knowledge of the games. On top of that, including background and characters that are more sympathetic to the orcs makes it feel more like Warcraft and makes it stand out from most other fantasy where the monsters are the bad guys whereas without that, it's not really faithful to the games and is too generic to the fantasy genre as a whole.
Honestly, I was following the development of this film when Reimi was still involved and I was actually getting worried that it would turn out to be just another bad video adaptation. That said, I think that this movie will still probably do reasonably well but brilliantly well (there's no way that I can see it performing anywhere close to that of X-Men: Apocalypse, which will completely overshadow it when it comes out) and while I'm hopeful that it will at least be a decent movie, I don't want to set my expectations too high in fear that I'm setting myself up for disappointment. I've been burned in the past by bad game adaptations that I initially thought was going to good (i.e. Wing Commander, don't laugh).

New character promos for Gerona and Khadgar:
It looks good. So far, I can't find fault with what I'm seeing like I could easily for previous promos of game adaptations. I'm hopeful for the movie but I'm weary. A few of my favourite game franchises in the past have been ruined by bad movies.
