Hi everyone, I'm new here. I haven't been officially diagnosed with it, but my therapist is pretty sure that I have Asperger's. In fact, it was her suggestion that I look for and join a forum like this. I definitely have issues with rigid thinking and with social interactions in general. I have been officially diagnosed with major depressive disorder, both OCD and general anxiety disorder at different times, and an eating disorder.
I'm not sure what to say, so I'm going to leave it at that, and you can ask me questions.

I love my cats, my life kind of revolves around them. I read a lot, mostly children's books because I'm a children's librarian. I used to be a ballet dancer, so that's something that still interests me even now that I can't take classes. (Ballet is so expensive, and it's hard to find advanced classes if you're a non-professional adult dancer.) I used to play a lot of chess and Scrabble, although not so much lately. I guess that's basically it.

i love my cat, schmuppabubba smoke. he is affectionate and smart. he sits on my husband's lap for hours at a time and snuggles with me in bed. he responds to a signal for treats by pawing the cupboard door. he comes when called. he has stage 3 kidney failure. he is on a special diet and calcitriol. we want him around as long as possible.

my husband and i fell in love over upwords, a bit simpler word game than scrabble.
