Just got back from the Doc's. So apparently I have a mild form of Autism, now I understand why I get along so much better with my HFA son then I do with my older son(ADHD).

Explains alot.

Not sure what I should do with the info now?

Not sure who I should tell?

Not sure if I believe it is only mild(I tried just to offer his questions but alot of things were left out)

What do I do now?

Oddest thing is I wanted the diagnosis before I went and now Im not sure how to feel about it:/

Welcome, all your feelings won't come at once, see what you feel in a month or two.

Got my Aspie diagnosis this month, at age 63. Glad to see another mature (if less mature than me :)) female on this site.
I personally get on better with my more neurotypical son than I do with my ADHD trans daughter.

However, before she told me she was trans, in order to get to know her better after I early-retired from corporate law and before she went to college (as a he), I worked on a book based on her character.

It was because I was researching ADHD sites on which to advertise the book this April that I came across sites on Aspergers/Autism, and then went to a depression psychologist I hadn't seen in years.

Anyhow, if you'd like to read a semi-comic take on coming of age with ADHD, even if you don't usually read books including aliens from parallel universes (being an alien would have explained me as well as being Asperger's), please check out "No Child Left Behind," published by Casser in March, 2016. It also includes an Aspie sidekick and an Aspie villain.

Thanks, I will check it out. Raising kids is no easy task, especially when dealing with things "outside the box" I get the feeling that Aspies are able to figure it out a tad bit better when it comes to kids who do not fit into the mold so well, because we see things differently.
