Will I be called sexist if I say I have no interest in seeing it?

I have no interest in most reboots or remakes. Ghostbusters without Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd isn't Ghostbusters. For some people this new movie is like a political statement, I'm looking to be entertained and I'm not sure that was the biggest priority with this remake.

I'm a huge fan of both Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, but I'm hoping this remake bombs!

When a sequel, remake or reboot is so many years after the last movie in the series, its likely a crappy cashgrab and nothing else (in my view).

If all 4 Ghostbusters were alive today- I still wouldn't want a sequel with all of them (or just cameos by them). Let the series be, it had its moment in movie history. Come up with original ideas. It's really unfortunate that so many movies these days are reboots, remakes and sequels.

I didn't like the second Ghostbusters so I won't be going to see this new one.

I enjoyed the first one though but I don't know why they can't come up with new ideas instead of doing remakes of a movie that was good.

It's usually easier for them to just recycle an idea over and over. Original ideas require thinking, and thats what many movie and tv writers don't want to do much these days.

I'm not interested in the new Ghostbusters, it won't be the same without Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd & the black guy (I don't remember his name)

Ernie Hudson was the black guy.

Ghostbusters are Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Slimer and Janine. It's not Ghostbusters without them.

The original Ghostbusters benefited from good writing and ad libbing from the stars that allowed them to create a balance of both character personalities and comedy types. It was clear from the trailers that the new one just didn't get that and instead had three of the four acting the part of the "zany one" with only one of them really taking a more natural and nuanced approach to her role.

Think about it: You had Peter and Ray who were the egotistical face and the lovable dork respectively and then you had Egon and Winston who were the dry scientist and the every man. You had two types of zany humor balanced out by two types of dry, straightforward humor.

Exactly this. Remakes should be reserved for little known, or bad movies that are brought to life with new perspective and quality. Classics don't need to be "redone". It's a travesty.

I kinda want to see this movie. The actresses seem funny & I really liked the original & sequel Ghostbusters movies as well as the cartoon series as a kid.

This movie and Infinite Warfare can both bomb like they deserve. Love both series, but they're really going overboard with these ones. The trailer looks like a Nickelodeon movie, which I do not waste my limited time and even more limited money on.

I don't. I'm not interested in it enough to see it in theatres but I'm not the primary audience, the idea is to appeal to a new generation. Also, there's been a lot of hate directed towards this movie simply because 4 women are in the lead roles which I think is unfair. I guess I would of preferred it if it was more of a soft reboot with the old Ghostbusters training the new ones and have a new original story but if it's a good movie, it's a good movie.
