I liked most of the series, until the later few seasons where it got kind of boring. lol

My mom loves that show!

I think it's pretty good, though there are some episodes that are difficult for me to watch, specifically the one where the school for the blind burns down and Mrs. Garvey and Adam Jr. are trapped.

Yeah, though I haven't watched it in quite a while.

I like it fairly well. I watch it every once in a while on Hallmark or Inspiration, as both of those channels air the reruns. The final episode, "The Last Farewell", packs a big emotional punch, there's no other way to describe it.

Yes I have all seasons on DVD it was a nice show, but like Tim Tex says the episode where Mrs Garvey died was hard to watch, and Mary seemed to have such bad luck all the time.

I agree. As a youth, I remember reading most (but not all) of the "Little House" books. As a parent, I read several of the books aloud to my 2 girls.

As a kid, I thought the show, overall, was overly moralistic.

As an adult, though, I like it better. Even though it can still get sanctimonious at times.

I likes it when it came out some because I had read the books. I used to love them as a kid. As an adult though I don't care for it. It's very simplistic and not at all real sometimes. I understand that the point wasn't to be real but to have a family values show and get a moral across, but the books were better. Also even though I dont think the books were originally children's books they are considered such now and so any adaptation of them is going to be geared toward a young audience. For a family values type show set in the past, I prefer the Walton's.
