To be honest I have stuff from so many different places. I'll shop anywhere as long as I find stuff I like even if they don't carry my size. My makeup collection is massive but I've gotten most of my makeup from either Ulta or Sephora. Some of my clothes and accessories I've had for so long I don't remember when I bought them.
Where do you get your stuff from?

Just Fab has me down as a Nouveau Femme but I kind of like Girl Next Door more. I'm the stereotype that prefers muted colors and simple styles. To be honest, I really like business casual. My mom loves to get me designer (Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, New York something, Madison, names like that etc.) but I don't really care for brand names, just as long as it's comfortable. I tend to like Calvin Klein dresses though if they're solid colors. I tend to find more clothes in thrift stores when I actually go shopping because price tags can intimidate me. I don't wear make-up.
my mom used to buy me street stuff. cheap stuff, torn damaged or export rejected stuff from street.
i got into that habit of wearing street stuff, cheap ones. I buy from wholesale or street stuff
not from malls, branded wear etc.
actually without my social life my dresses would just end up lying in the closet
so also accessories which are just lying there piling up

I buy my clothes in Second Hands. They are cheap so if they end up uncomfortable (I hate trying on clothes in shops) I can throw them away. I don't care about brand names - I remove tags anyway.
I have my own style. I always wear black/gray pants and red tank top/sweater/hoodie. I don't understand fashion. But my mom calls my style "sporty" and says I am lucky because I am pretty and I look nice in whatever.
I don't stand out in crowd much but you can tell the difference when I am standing next to woman my age - I look much younger. I am 27 year old and I am still asked which class of middle school / high school I am attending. I don't wear make up, that might be the reason.
I like to buy stuff online because it's easier than having to search through stores looking for a certain item. Online all the dresses are in one category, all the blouses in one category and so on. You can even search by color or size.
In stores it's all mixed together and I don't like it. You can also find more unique stuff online.

I'm into vintage so moat of mine is thrift stores or yard sales. In my town there is tons of actual vintage in great shape really cheap. People donate their grandparents etc stuff. I get stuff that goes for over 100 online for a buck or three at the most. I do buy some new stuff at stores when I go in with my girls. Usually it's something I can wear with my vintage or it's for a no-go or biker chick look cause I do both those as well.
As for makeup I buy different brands and try them. ELF is my fave now. Cheap as hell and very good. I watch tutorials on Wayne Goes channel for how to put it on, also Lander Johnson, Lisa Fremont Street, Pinup Doll Ashley Marie, and Cherry Dollface. Those are my faves and they also do hair tutorials. I do vintage hair as well
If you like scene and alternative styles you might want to look at Rebels Market online. My youngest daughter buys there and she's plus size. Just check the size chart first before you order. She just got a black sleeveless skater dress with black feather wings in the back from there and even in xl it wouldn't zip. It was small on me except in the boob's and way up past my butt. I check and it's made in China and the sizes are Asian. Double check that and where it's made and you should do fine shopping there. Affordable too. Punk, emo, rocker, hipster, Goth, john, they have tons of styles. If you want some plus size vintage inspired or reproduction links let me know and I'll send you some. I may forget to check this thread again so email me and I'll send them to you. And vintage is more than just 50s. Check some looks. Rockabilly and psychobilly are two styles that lots of young folks are doing. My daughter doesn't like them that much but occasionally does a look . She's more Goth/emo/biker and dyes her hair all kinds of colors.
It's hard to find what she wants in her size but I help and unlike some moms I really support whatever fashion choices she makes. God knows I have no room to talk. I do vintage from Victorian to 70s and I've gone grocery shopping in full Victorian Goth regalia or dressed exactly as the mother in the Brady Bunch. Just depends on my mood each morning as to when I'll be dressed as that day.
I love fashion and will help out all I can. PM me if you want me and I'll give you my fb which I check a little more than here.
