Any Elder Scrolls fans?
The Elder Scrolls series is one of my favorite series in the world. I started with Skyrim then I started Oblivion a few years after. I haven't played Morrowind yet but I've played Daggerfall, which I wasn't a big fan of. I haven't played the online version, is it worth getting?
Oblivion is my favorite game in the series so far, I love the quests way more than Skyrim's. I'm disappointed that they decided to remake Skyrim instead of Oblivion. Its a great game and it's sad that many people won't play it just because of the older graphics. Though I did enjoy the radiant quest feature Skyrim had and Oblivion didn't.
What do you guys think of The Elder Scrolls? Do you have a favorite game? A favorite race? A favorite faction? Any dislikes of the series?
Personally I like elves the most, favoring dark elves. I always go for the magic guild and dark brotherhood factions.
I'm partial to Bretons as either mages or warrior mages or anything really. Just tend to identify with them for some reason. As for the game, while I probably won't play it much nowadays, would have to be the game that nearly destroyed my life back in the day, Daggerfall. Morrowind is a close second and I enjoyed the heck out of modded skyrim.
The Morag Tong in Morrowind has to be my favorite faction. There was nothing quite like being an assassin with a strict code of honor. In fact, my dunmer killer only would kill ordinary mobs with his fists only, and only give provisioned writs a taste of his sword, which I named Mephala's Grace. I tend to get heavy into rping in single-player games. I'm weird like that. My favorite prince would be the geeky little brother of Mephala, Herma Mora. Something about having access to almost all knowledge.
If I have any problems with the series, it's that I don't have forever to live to play these games, which honestly can take a long time to play through to satisfaction. And also the bugs, although those do add to the series quirkiness.
If I had any irresponsible predictions for the next game, it's that it will be in Hammerfell, featuring Herma Mora either as a background figure or at the fore with the main plot being the return of the Dwemer.
I'm not really a fan of all the games but I did enjoy Oblivion for the Xbox 360 as well as another Bethesda game called Fallout 3 (didn't care for Fallout: New Vegas though). I liked how in those games you had a big open world to explore and could make any kind of character you wanted (and neither of them had annoying online co-op lol). I especially enjoyed the fact that you could own a house in both games and pick up items to try and decorate them.
My favorite thing about Oblivion was the Daedric Princes (which I know appear in every other game too). They had a lot of the qualities that the Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Greece and Rome had but in a sorta demonic way and it was fun having to do quests for them by bringing offerings to their statues and being rewarded with powerful artifacts. I think my favorite daedra were Azura, Namira, Mephala, Malacath, and Sheogorath (especially in the "Shivering Isles" expansion).

Oh and as far as races and guilds I think I liked the Argonians best because of the fact that they could swim underwater without loosing breath which was pretty cool (I have a fondness for underwater fantasy creatures like mermaids or the Zora from The Legend of Zelda games). Plus I also liked the Orcs simply because most fantasy stories portray them as completely evil and deserving to all be slaughtered by the heroes (like in Lord of the Rings for example) and in Oblivion they really weren't bad people at all and were even dealing with a believable prejudice from other races just for being Orcs. The only guild I ever joined was the Mage's Guild because I tended to play as a magic-user character but I never got far in that guild at all I always preferred being a sort of solo wizard (well my character was labeled with a custom "Witch" class I created because I always like witches more than wizards) especially with that one DLC that gave you a wizard tower home complete with enchantment and spell-creating alters and other cool things like an alchemy garden and atronach minions. Also my favorite houses were a tie between the Wizard Tower DLC and the house in Anvil that had the cool secret chamber in the basement (perfect for a witchy character or even a vampire).
Probably next in line for video game special interest. It's not quite Special interest level. Though definitely a interest. I like modding Skyrim to make it more Pokémon like. My Build tends to be the opposite of the Ebony Warrior armor/weapon wise. I'm a Snow elf/ancient falmer, or High elf/Altmer. Except in Morrowind cause the Character customization sucks. I love glass armor. Mainly Sneaky Archer, Mage. Sometimes one-handed though.

I've played all but Arena, and Legends. I haven't beat any before oblivion though. I've beat skyrim like twice.

Both Tamrielian Mythology and Roman mythology, are based of Greek mythology. So I'd hope so. Aedra of the council and Daedra's off the Titan's. A few of the God's that aren't Daedra or Aedra (The Ones that Created Both) Are like The 1st era of Greek Mythology, (With Gaia, etc).

Yeah I think one of those was maybe Sithis (there's a downloadable house for vampire/assassin characters called "Deepscorn Hollow" which comes with a shrine to him that rewards you for infame, unlike the Divines which reward you for fame). I think he was associated with vast emptiness or something along those lines (and he had a very creepy looking statue).
I'm not too familiar with Elder Scrolls lore and everything I know about the races and deities I pretty much learned from what I played in Oblivion lol.
Got a high level character after playing a while with mods and everything is awesome, I highly recommend this game, love the dark elf. Love magic, love cutting people, love the bow and arrow. I love it all, I am maxing out each skill twice with the legendary system, don't know what my final level will be but I am almost at level 90.
Cheers, let admire my work and how much I don't have a life,
Oh Azura yes!
I've been playing since Morrowind. (That game WAS my childhood) and am a TES Scholar!
I had like ten characters on Skyrim before the files got deleted leaving me with only my Wood Elf and my remake of my Dragon Age character.
I don't mind that much... But I lost my vampire lord Breton
Here are two of my babies

Almost thirty hours into the majestic skyrim, haven't even picked a side in the war yet or discovered a third of the locations, I am often too engrossed in each twitching blade of grass and churning cloud, I can spend an hour exploring a single area! Would love to play the other games in the series someday if I can get them but skyrim will take me some time to finish on my first playthrough and consequent alternative playthroughs! I have read a lot about the other sections of the realm and am entranced.
I Like oblivion best, but Moved on because it is simply outdated. ~450 Hours if you count both PC and Xbox 360. I factory reseted to windows 8 Snyth.osx. I have even less of a Life Haha.

I use a Playable (Ancient) Falmer race mod. So, I'm a snow elf. If not snow elf, High Elf.
