I'm not a Christian, I was raised Shi'a Muslim and currently consider myself irreligious, but I love Theocracy. They're an amazingly talented power metal band.

Don't believe the gender tag. I was born intersex and identify as queer, girl-leaning. So while I can sometimes present as an effeminate guy, that's less than half the time and if anything I'd prefer it say "female" of the two choices offered. I can't change it though, it's bugged.

I'll just continue the fanboying over Theocracy:

The new CD is coming, I believe it can be better than the others. The quality of "As the world bleeds" surprised me!

I grew up a christian but consider myself agnostic/atheist with some spiritual beliefs and following some rules/ideals from it but I'd say I love Demon Hunter and Becoming The Archetype.

I didn't even know they were christian bands until I really looked into the lyrics, one of the things I love about them they aren't in your face about praising the lord and the lyrics can easily be interpreted as other things so even those that are not christian can get still get meaning out of them. Hell Demon Hunter is so good you see tons of people in the comment sections of their videos saying they're atheist/non-christian but love Demon Hunter.

Becoming The Archetype's singer is amazing, he makes me want to scream the lyrics out loud when ever one of their songs is playing in my head  . When I found out they disbanded I was really sad but then I was so happy to learn that the singer formed a new metal band.

Some of my favorite Demon Hunter and Becoming The Archetype songs

I went through a Christian metal phase. I still like Norma Jean quite a bit. Early stuff. The Chariot wasnt bad. I liked Demon Hunter for a little bit but they are kind of sappy in my opinion. Living Sacrifice wasn't bad.

Most Christian music lacks a little "sumthin'."

I don't keep a exhaustive list of Christian music bands in my mind, but one I like is Flatfoot 56:

I like it, but that isn't metal, it's Celtic punk.

Anyway, this thread needs some Extol:

Outside of the big names of Stryper, Mortification, Tourniquet and early Vengeance Rising, I never delved too deep into Christian metal as much as I did secular metal. There weren't a whole lot of Christian bands who fit within the classic speed/thrash/NWOBHM style which I prefer, though I welcome any suggestions.

Now, if this was a thread on Christian punk, I would have plenty to say.

I'm into heavy metal but not usually Christian heavy metal. The one band that sticks out to me and is one of my all-time favorite Hardcore bands is Six Feet Deep. These guys got it done.

"Struggle" off their first album. Great Stuff!! !! !

I find the guitar tone very annoying, at least during the intro, but otherwise it's good.
