I am waiting for an answer for whether i will be able to join a social skills group for teenagers my age. I have 2 weeks until i find out. How can i prepare myself for the results, regardless if i am accepted into the group or not?

How can i generally learn to wait and be patient better?

I think everyone has some problems with waiting for information, regardless of neurotype. If you can do something to distract you, especially something that you'd enjoy, that might help to pass the time.
If you're really worried that you won't be accepted, try to remind yourself that even if you don't, there will be other opportunities down the road and that being chosen or not (I don't know if you had to complete an application or something or how else you're being chosen) has nothing to do with how good of a person you are.

Sometimes when I have to wait, I come online and I post things like this, just to make the time pass.

I also struggle with waiting, especially when there is an element of rejection involved. Like, if they don't accept me, it will feel like a rejection and I don't want to feel that.

I also toss the I Ching. It's an ancient oracle. You "read" it by throwing three coins and seeing which ones land face up. I know it sounds weird, but I really get a lot out of doing it. I've been doing it for many years, and I've become very good at understanding the answers. (They are in poetry form, so it's all abstract.) Doing this helps me wait for the real answer.
