Hello folks,
Biography of how I came to be posting here...
Once upon a time in a country somewhere on the planet earth lived a 40 year old woman, mother to 2 boys, who decided to go back to college with the aim of getting qualifications to enable her to do a degree at uni. However, things didn't go as smoothly as she'd like. By October I was noticing I had 'issues' my tutor suggested ASD/HFA as its is now known since the change in the DSM5. Low and behold the clever tutor was right and the 40 year old woman was diagnosed with an ASD aka Aspergers.

I can't say it isn't a bit of a head f@ck but I like being me most of the time, I just would like to understand my brain and other peoples brains. How is my experience of the world different from the 'norm' so I can learn when I ought to ask for help. Which, by the way, is supremely hard as I am getting my head around alexithymia, aspergers, college, learning and all the other things that come along with these things.

Cheers x
