Not showering is not one of these harmless behaviors. Just as NTs have no right to demand you conform to their expectations, you have no right to force them to inhale your BO and coffee breath all day long.
Brush and shower daily. Failing to do so is not a harmless eccentricity. It is rude.
Okay...I'm going to take the side of those that don't bathe every day, but hear me out. First, I actually do bathe five to six times a week on average and use antiperspirant daily, while freshening up as well on a daily basis. Second, in addition to my mental eccentricities, I have quite a few anatomical ones as well. One of these is a lack of ability to perspire very well. I do perspire, just not normally. It has plagued me my whole life. I was an athlete, and as I child coaches and parents would freak out because my face would turn red and white when I exerted myself. Puberty didn’t change anything. Anyway, I don’t bathe every day, because some days I just don’t get stinky. I’m sure you’ll argue “Who was the judge of that…yourself?” To which I reply, “Mostly, but not entirely!” My partners have always said I have a naturally pleasing aroma. Go figure! There is also the aspect of conserving water, which I commend anyone for trying to do. However, I do agree that you need to be aware of your “aroma” and make sure you validate on occasion with someone else if you want to skip that bath. Hair is a different story. After thirty-six hours my hair will get nappy. Can I say that here? So I only go more than forty-eight hours when I am somewhere that I don’t have access to bathing facilities.
