Title sums it up. Are teachers automatically aware of if students have autism in the UK.

In a word, No.
Depending how and where the diagnosis was arrived at the school may not know even, never mind individual teachers.
Once it gets onto a child's school records, the fact will follow them through the system.

If your child needs particular help you'll need to seek a "Statement of special educational needs", schools often resist this owing to the financial implications, and some may even dispute or resist acknowledging the diagnosis in such circumstances.
