I've started drinking it in place of milk for cereal and today tried chocolate almond milk. Besides being half the calories and better for my lactose issue, what are the pros and cons of it?

It's more expensive than cow's milk. There aren't as many nutrients either. I don't really like the taste of it to drink, I use it in recipes mostly.

I tried almond milk, but I didn't like the taste. I used oat milk for a while, but now I have black coffee and have yoghurt and muesli for breakfast.

Can you add in more greens like spinach and kale to your diet? They won't 100% make up for the loss of vitamins from not drinking milk milk, but can add some variety.

It actually has more vitamins then 2% milk. It only lacks protein.

Milk: 10% vitamin a, 4%!vitaminc, 35% calcium, 0%iron, 25% vitamin d, saturated fat 3gr, 5g total fat, 25g cholesterol , 130 calories with 45 from fat

Sweet almond milk: 10% vitamin a, 0% vitamin c, 45% calcium, 6% iron, 25% vitamin d, 50% vitamin e, 0g sat fat, 2.5g total fat, 0g cholesterol, manganese 4%, phosphorus 4%, zinc 2%, copper 6%, 60 calories with 20 from fat

The taste is different it I'm getting use to that, I worry how I'll tell when it's spoiled though. The chocolate almond milk taste good though.
Price has come down here. About same price as cows milk. $2.68

They call it "Almond Milk" because market research showed nobody wanted to drink a product named "Nut Juice." :eew:

Just make sure to get enough protein from other sources, and I think it's a decent swap.

I like both tbh.

I wasn't impressed with it. When I tried it in coffee, it turned the coffee a murky gray color.

I use unsweetened almond milk on cereal. I wouldn't worry about the protein (lack of). Most people in civilized countries are eating more that the recommended daily allowance anyway.

Allowance is a weird word to use in this context. But on a daily basis, yes, most people meet their protein requirement.
But often when people go on a diet(where protein is of even higher importance), they tend to not get enough in my experience.

I like to drink Almond drink. It is enriched in Vitamin D and helps reduce the risk of heart disease.

I actually didn't get your joke at first. Almonds are actually seeds not nuts. So the joke doesn't really make sense.
