Hi, everyone. I'm Minty, and I'm autistic. The clinic where I was tested didn't go into specifics about what sort of autism I have, and I'm under the impression that the DSM-V got rid of the "sub-genres" and lumped everything together as just plain ol' autism. Other online tests put me in the Aspie category.
I'm 23, living with my grandparents, and diagnosed for less than a year. I got my diagnosis in April in hopes of getting disability accommodations and proving to my family that I wasn't just "a little different." I made it all the way through college without ever knowing, though I suspected it since I was 13 or so, and I was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety along the way. I don't think either one of those is wrong, but they weren't the actual root cause.
My hobbies include: video games, making neurotypical people angry by headcanoning every character I like as autistic like me, and Star Wars.
