Unless they were consensually polyamorous, what is with the moving location and just hooking up with two other guys, then writing to him about how in love he then was with the other two? Then the relationship ending when they could have come together (secretly of course) after the war? And the hooking up with his then boyfriend's uncle?
There's some weird stuff in there ...
