I know social problems are the hallmark of AS, but does anyone find that they don't have a problem with that aspect? If so, do you have a particular quality that you think helps you; like being a musician, a comedian, an artist, etc. I would imagine that others would still flock to such talents, despite social differences.

No, it's been my experience that people hate you no matter how talented and cool you are.... Cretins.

Most people don't notice me.
The ones who 'like me' just use me.
The ones who dislike me don't know me.

I think I come off as sweet so I hope people like me. But I think a lot of people don't.

I have problems that makes people hate me, either for friendship, romance and jobs
No one really wants me, I dont think I have any quality to help me with that either.

I wouldn't like to make a definitive statement one way or the other, but I would tentatively suggest that more people like me than don't like me. I'm certainly not the most popular guy in terms of having a large circle of friends, but I think I'm not roundly despised by lots of people, either. At worst I reckon I'm tolerated.

I am not sure, I think my confidence levels are low and if people even do like me I still think they don't. I still can't understand why my parents love me and I can't accept there love, it makes me feel sad to think this way but the feelings are so strong

Everyone likes you on here, and I don't see why anyone wouldn't like you IRL, so yes, I'm pretty sure people do like you.

Same, except that where I am I don't think many people have actually heard of me. I tend to be quite good at quietly escaping notice, at least until someone brings up something I'm interested in. I hope I come across as mildly sweet. I fear I come across as obnoxious. But I don't think anyone actively hates or dislikes me.

Yes, I like you Starbuline, I would like you IRL as well, althought you wouldn't like me, and I should stay away because you might want to kill me

I'm liked and I'm not too.

Generally speaking, people are either impressed with me at first, or they dislike me. This can usually be broken down by age group - older (whether physically or just mentally older) people are more likely to like me. Younger ones (from about 8 to "older") usually think I'm weird and avoid me instantly. I have no problem with this arrangment.

I've found that there aren't too many people who like me once they really get to know me. I suppose I give off a semi-good impression, but I can derail that within seconds. That's usually the social problem I have. (Then I have a few real life friends who apparantly just randomly decided that they wanted to be my friend. Only one will give me an explanation, and even that's half hearted. So I'm not hated.)

I earn respect from people - I'm a writer (and a good one when I want to be) - but that doesn't equate to people liking me. It just means that people acknowledge that I'm talented in that area. It does, in some aspects, make befriending like-minded people easier. Sometimes.
