Mariposa: LOW score challenge
Here's the game:
http://www.splashworks.com/game.php?id=49
It goes up to Level 15.
To pause during the game, just hit "Menu"
The game is set up so that you could play for days on the early levels, without running out of time. So a "High Score" contest would be won by someone who wants to play the early levels for days/weeks/months.
There are big bonuses too, up to 28,000 I think was my highest grouping score (for the rainbow stars that already had butterflies on them, you'll see what I mean).
The timer does move fast in the higher levels. The last level, like I said, is 15 online. If you click "next" after that level, your score will disappear and it will ask you to download the game or to start over. So write down your score or take a screen shot at that time.
I thought it would be kind of fun to have a LOW score contest. I'm playing right now, and if I make it through the 15th level, I'll post my score.
There could also be low score contests for each level. If anyone wants to do that. The same tasks have to be completed, whether you are going for high scores or low scores. For the low score, you don't want things to fall into place where they stones behind the amber disappear for big points.
You can turn off the sound too, by clicking on "Menu" if you don't like it.
And yes, I do know they misspelled Complete as Comlpete. Hah!
Anyone want to play with me?
Thanks for playing ExeterChris!
At the end of Level 15 I had 83,630. But I'm convinced I can do worse.
Must try harder to do worse. It IS hard.
And it's a lot more fun to encourage others to be worse. I don't think there is anything else in my life in which I was ever encouraged to do worse. It kind of feels good.
So, everyone, get out there, and do really bad. Try not score too much. You'll still have to complete the levels, but don't do good.
