It's driving me insane!! Someone was playing the song by Queen 3 days ago, and I've had it stuck in my head ever since. I can't even sleep because of it.

They say to get a song out of your head you try to think of the ending in your head, but I don't really know how this song ends, and the song is so weird with random notes and verses spilled all over the place that it's hard to know how the whole song goes.

It is not a normal song. Aghhh! It's stuck in my head so much that it's giving me a headache!! !

If you want to know how it ends, look it up on YouTube. :)

I've had songs stuck in my head many times. The worst one was On My Own, by Farrah Abraham.

Arrrgghh-the Invasion of the Killer Earworm! It's unfortunate to have a song in your head where it is impossible to remember the ending. I have had the experience of having a line in a song repeating in my head that was one line before or after the title line. It didn't get out of my head until I finally remembered it. The stupid song was usually stuck in my head about a week before I could finally recognize it.

I really like Bohemian Rhapsody. It might sound like a bunch of random stuff put together, but recently I read that it actually tells a tragic story about a young man whose girlfriend left him for another guy, and the young man end up shooting and killing him. Now he has to say goodbye to his mother and leave because he's a murderer, but then he runs into the gang who the guy he shot was a member of, and they get in a fight. The opera part about the thunder and lightening is symbolism for gunfire, and he begs them to let them him go, but they refuse and mock him for being a poor boy. He ends up escaping and then the music turning into an upbeat rock tune with the lyrics "so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?" is about him being victorious. But then the song turns melancholy at the end when he remembers that he's now a fugitive and can never be with his mother again.

"nothing really matters...nothing really matters....nothing really matters.....to meeeee....."

That refrain. That's how the song ends.

It's better than having the sound of a jackhammer in your head.

It's a quasi-classical/rock song by Queen. I've always liked it. It comes in two parts, really. The second part is much more "rock" than the first part. The first part is the "quasi-classical" part.

The song was a hit 43 years ago.

I'm very prone to songs or even just a small part of a song becoming a looping earworm lasting a day or even intermittently over the course of a week or longer. For that reason I don't usually listen to music near bedtime as it can keep me up.

What really drives me crazy is when I can't figure out which song the line that gets stuck in my head comes from!

When I get a song in my head, I usually have to listen to it to get it out.

Or I'll find something else to get stuck in my head.

Maybe it'll help to listen to a polka version of it. At least if you get it stuck in your head it'll be different & replace the original

Well, if you're going to get an earworm, this one is a heckuva lot better than "Walking in Sunshine" ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh

Here, let's make it worse: MUPPETS

and here's the one I usually end up earworming (and singing to my cats, with dancing     )

I get those a lot, too.

I normally don't like having much newer songs in my head because they are not my style. I am usually content with whatever classic song is in my head,(Queen, Styx, Rush, etc.) but I am not too fond of Meat Loaf or ABBA. Now, before anyone here objects, I just couldn't get myself to enjoy these artists; some of Meat Loaf's music is too sexually charged, while ABBA is one of those bands that I can never be too crazy about, no matter how hard I try. And that's why I don't like having their songs in my head, and usually try to listen to someone else.

I read somewhere that it is very common for Bohemian Rhapsody to get stuck in people's heads. Why this song? :?

Also, that Polka version sounds good! I love Polka versions of things, or March or Techno.
