This ancient musical fragment dates back to 1400 B.C.E. and was discovered in the 1950's in Ugarit, Syria. It was interpreted by Dr. Richard Dumbrill. He wrote a book entitled "The Archaeomusicology of the Ancient Near East." "


Just thought it might be interesting; it kinda rocks at some points. :D

Cool, thanks for the post. Though I suspect that these kids born after 1400BC just won't appreciate it.

Last year I was looking for ancient music to play on my guitar, but the books that I checked out on this subject only provided short fragments that were discovered in ancient Greece etc. And so did not seem worth playing.

I might practice this hymn on my guitar.
