Mild vs Moderate vs Severe Autism.

Which one are you? Im moderate.

Autism = Mild
Comorbids = Severe

although I'm not sure where my autism starts and ends

To the best of my knowledge, I wasn't given a severity level with my diagnosis (Asperger's syndrome), but based on the effects it has on my life, I'd classify myself as moderately autistic.

I am definitely mild Asperger's.

Not sure how mild or severe my ADHD is though. It's moderate I think.

I am either moderate or mild not really sure I think social isolation makes it harder for me to socialise too.

On the severe side until I was 5 1/2. Then it became moderate. Then it became mild. I got lucky, I suppose.

I think, based on your question, I'd probably be "Mild", since I'm level 1.

However, I don't think there actually is a "Mild". My assessment states:
Level of Impairment: Moderate (Level 1-Needs Support)

I'm not sure what level 2 and 3 are, but they're presumably more severe than "Moderate".

So I'm guessing it's something like the following:
Level 1: Moderate
Level 2: Considerable
Level 3: Severe

I think this is a better definition, because I don't think it's ever "Mild". If it's truly mild, you probably don't get a diagnosis at all.

The question I ponder is how life impacting my autism has been?
In NO way has it been mild as far as life impact. Not at all.
If it comes to assistance provided (what assistance I sometimes wonder), then that in itself is at best, mild.
Trying to fit in to society, life and employment endeavours would think my disadvantages are at best, moderate.
With the rise of conservatism in western governments just for one, and their lack of generosity for people with disabilities outside of physical ones and severe autism or intellectual disabilities (the obvious ones to the eye), mild forms of autism can just about be disregarded imo.
In these cases, it is the rise of the side effects associated with forms of autism, like depression, anxiety and other mental health problems, which would be worse than any forms of autism if they are mild.
Again, these relate to the potential services that can be offered to people on the spectrum and governments' role in providing assistance for them; which looks like would be going in a negative way due to the rise of conservatism and their views of looking after the most hard working, not the most vulnerable.
Being able to work hard and be the best at things are all dependent on luck and connections in life; things which can be and in my knowledge, are harder for people on the autism spectrum.

Just watched your video. Like you I was diagnosed severe at age 3 and progresses to moderate. Up until I was 8 I did not really respond to others or acknowledge them and did not verbally communicate in any way. Now I'm better at it, but still withdrawn and don't talk much and can't really hold a conversation. It's more limited to answering and asking questions or asking for something. Mainly I get by with texting.

I think it affects me mild-moderate or moderate...socially, mild or moderate (eye contact varies and body language decoding is not there much) living skills (can't support myself) are moderate, sensory dysfunction is severe-moderate, I had a difficult-ish time developing intelligible speech as a kid. Comorbidities have less impact on me now.

I'm mild.

My AQ testing score places me in between NT and Asperger's. I definitely have some of the salient features and accompanying conditions associated with Asperger's. My most salient feature of AS is the tendency to develop intense special interests. My main associated condition is anxiety.

Essentially, on the AQ test:

0-11 low result – indicating no tendency at all towards autistic traits.
11-21 is the average result that people get (many women average around 15 and men around 17)
22-25 shows autistic tendencies slightly above the population average
26-31 gives a borderline indication of an autism spectrum disorder. It is also possible to have aspergers or mild autism within this range.
32-50 indicates a strong likelihood of Asperger syndrome or autism.

Definitely mild in many ways, but horrible social anxiety created a bad feedback loop. There is NO way at all I could take someone filming me and posting a videos on the net of me like on some youtube vids with people clearly having a more "severe" form.

I am not sure how I could measure that.
I do know I am level 2, high functioning autistic. So perhaps that's what is considered mild? I don't really know.
I also have OCD, social anxiety (goes hand in hand with HFA for me), GAD, and PTSD, though. So those also do interfere with my life quite a bit; though not as much as me being autisitc.
