Hey all, new here.
I don't do many of these, so bear with me. I was recently diagnosed as on the spectrum, so I'm kind of a late bloomer (?). I heard about Wrong Planet and wanted to give it a spin; see if a weirdo like me could actually find a community out there.
A little about me:
* Christian, libertarian, but I hate politics and have no intention of talking about them here
* 29, married, three kids
* electrical engineer
* I'm a bit of a recluse and an eccentric (other engineers talk too much for my taste, and I'm known among friends and family as the guy that likes a lot of weird stuff)
* I love me some heavy metal
* I don't care for sports, with one massive exception: for some reason Grand Sumo has found a special place in my heart (this and heavy metal are dangerous topics to bring up with me)
* I like old-school horror, sci-fi, and cosmic horror. I'm an aspiring writer of these too, but that's a long, arduous process. I'm in a major lull at the moment.
* Some people think I have no sense of humor, but oh how wrong they are (I guess because I don't smile much?) I can make light of anything...to a point that I genuinely don't know if I'm being offensive at times. If you're ever unsure if I'm joking, assume that I'm being deadly serious. This makes everything much funnier.
I'm here because I want to find like-minded people and learn more about autism. I'm looking forward to some time well-spent here.
