I really like velvet. It feels super good. I like the feeling of old carpet too. I could rub those things for hours. Cats also have a nice texture.

I really also like crunchy textures when Im eating and I like velcro. I get out of my chair and touch the curtains in Class. The Curtains are smooth.

I also like velvet - the way it feels when you rub it back and forth under your thumb is very enjoyable.

Conversely, one texture I absolutely hate is smooth-ish surfaces with grainy dust - like a blackboard or an old car that isn't smoothly finished. Just thinking about it makes me shiver. :pale:

Silk is the best. I touch it for hours on end. :D

I don't like velvet or anything that is remotely static like fake fur or fleece. My absolute worse texture is anything dry. Like dry wood under bare feet in a sauna or even an ice cream stick. Awful.

Textures I like.... anything fluid.... water, smooth wet pebbles, wet sand, hot sunbaked rocks (ideally when my feet are wet). I like walking on cold surfaces barefoot....kitchen tiles, in the water. Best ever is running barefoot on the beach at the waters edge in the early morning. Bliss.

A kitten, while they still have only down and before they get fur. Fur is nice too but I'm allergic to it.

It's interesting, I think I've got two answer for this.

If we're talking about textures I like on clothing, it's cotton, by far. Fleece and some synthetics are fine for a while, but please don't make me war them for days on end. Absolutely no to wool and things that can be outright scratchy. Tags on clothing, depending on what they're made of and where they are, can be awful.

But I really like touching the scratchy side of velcro to my lips. So if it's actually as a stim, I like textures that are rough to my lips. Same with metal things - I like the feel of them on my lips.

Smooth, cool surfaces are good. Like glass, polished stone or smooth metal that's less than room temperature.

I agree with velvet and flannel. I like how velvet is smooth one way, rough the other :) quite satisfying.

I also like suede and the textures of plums, kiwi's and peach skins.
