I need to request to delete some of my posts

I use this nickname a lot lately on some sites and I found a google search of myself where I think I've made some embarassing posts on this site. Why isn't there a delete function for our own posts? I know this has been posted before but I really think there should be for the safety of identity online. To be able to delete whatever I write on here because a lot of it sounds messed up and I end up regret writing it. -.- I am also afraid of my enemies finding my name and smearing me because my venting my weakness makes me a target for their hate and lies.
Or can I just request to delete my account at whatever time? I really don't want this stuff floating around online forever. Thanks
