Meh ... a self-diagnosed aspie posting copy-pasta on a blog page ... nothing new.

She says "self-diagnosed" as of 2013, but her AboutMe page says, "In 2014, I was diagnosed with autism (Asperger’s), TBI (traumatic brain injury), PTSD, and OCD." Maybe she just forgot to update the "symptoms" page.

The text appears to be uniquely-(re)phrased at least from what I could tell.

If I was going to direct someone to a page with a good summary of autism, this wouldn't be it. Seems like she's explaining her own traits more than she's trying to give an unbiased account of the disorder. The same goes for her description of the causes of autism.

I quite liked it and I thought she was very brave for blogging about it especially with the entire Internet to read it.

Bravo!

I have trouble with the concept of "Self-diagnosed". It's perhaps an autistic trait that I believe in the competence of a properly trained and qualified clinical psychologist to have given me a genuine diagnosis. I think I used to say "I suspect I may have autism" - and no matter how strongly I suspected that I wouldn't have made a bold claim that I was competent to diagnose myself.

She says she was diagnosed when you read under About Me.
