Some NT guys are into that & some guys who aren't into that would still be OK with their girlfriend watching if she doesn't make him watch. I also kind of suspect that more NT guys are OK with their girlfriend watching kids shows or cartoons than NT girls OK with their boyfriend watching them.

i'm kinda against giving up something you enjoy because of an SO.

if it really embarrasses him that much that you watch cartoons, it's probably just an issue of incompatibility.

i don't know if you would rule out a guy because of his tastes in movies? it probably depends on how different his tastes are from yours and how "into" his weird movies he is. (you get the idea).

good luck!

Sister Kitty, this advice was originally meant for Mark, but I thought this advice could be of good use to you. I spoke with a neighbor who has a nephew (about the same age as Mark) on the spectrum and like you and Mark, is looking for love in his life.

She said that relationships will be hard at the beginning and that the first thing you should do is to initiate conversation with a person you meet. If you move the relationship forward too fast, you could hurt the other person's feelings.

Also, she emailed me a link to a website for singles who are on the spectrum. Hope this helps.

Of course you don't have to give up cartoons!

Date a guy who's into anime. There's about 10 billion single men like that, and they love cartoons and kid shows.

Personally I'm quite fond of Dragon Ball. It's about a ret*d who punches everything so he can get stronger so he can punch more things. He recently got done punching Jiren and a new movie is coming out where he's going to punch a guy called Broly, who's inexplicably stronger than Jiren because Shonen anime is like that.

It’s not weird that an adult watch kids shows? I know adults on Facebook want to watch old cartoons, I read that people love to watch Charlie Brown holiday specials.

There's bound to be a few. Though I'm curious why you feel the need for your future husbando to be an NT.

I didn’t say I’m going marry the guy, I just want a boyfriend not marriage. The guy can be Aspie or NT.

Well great then. Go to an anime convention and pick your target.

Look for a brony.
Plenty of them of many neurology choices available.
