Anyone else not know when to walk away from group?

I was helping a customer then one of the managers came over and started helping him, well I didn’t know weather to stay or go. Like was he going help then leave me to finish helping i dont know. Anyways I stood there until he was like I got this you can go and I feel like such an idiot now :(

I can relate to this!

Can't think of a specific example, but yeah I've definitely done a similar thing.

Its so hard coz you don't want to walk away and be reprimanded for being unhelpful, but you don't want to stay because you don't want to hang around awkwardly if you aren't needed anymore.

At least he told you it was ok to go. It would be worse if he was subtle and you weren't getting the hint. I prefer it when people tell me straight.

I feel he was irritated and I did miss the hint and over stay.
He already doesn’t like me and thinks I’m lazy and disobedient.

Yes, all the time. I never know what to say or how to react to people. I never know when its appropriate to do something and when it's not and people just look at me all awkwardly lol 8O

Yes, I have a problem knowing when to walk away. If I acted on whim though, I would be more inclined to just walk away from situations too early rather than overstay.

Me too. I walked away from someone today that I should have talked to for a bit longer. I regret that now.

I'm more avoidant than overstaying.
