You know - the slingshot. That amusement park ride that launches you into the air on bungee cords while your strapped into a basket for good measure.

Have any of you been on it?

What did you think of it?

Haven't been on that one specifically, but I love wild amusement park rides. I think my favorite of all time was a ferris wheel which turned so quickly that centrifugal force would hold you in place so that you didn't even have to be strapped in... :D :D :D

Awesome for desensitization under controlled safe circumstances, too.

My old 1996 Sea-doo XP 800 limited modified racing watercraft was a really good slingshot. It was designed for hardcore, no BS riding and if you weren't fit enough to hang on then it would spit you 30+ feet clean. I'd loan the thing out to friends and friends of friends just for a good laugh. It could make corners so sharp and build up so much G force that you'd go temporarily ret*d from the blood ramming into the half of your brain that was on the outside of the turn.

Sometimes...just sometimes, the machine would "lose it's grip" and spin around 180 or even 360 degrees which would also result in spitting you clean off.
