I have a feeling I am asking for something that doesn't exist, but the other day I was at the mall (and more particularly at the Dave and Busters at the mall) and was thinking to myself how nice it would be if something like this existed so I could actually stay and play some games rather than having to hurry out 2 minutes after arriving. So I figured I would ask on here if such a thing does exist in anyone's experience.

Are you talking headphones that play music or earmuffs that people wear on construction sites and such?

If headphones, they're never cheap, ever. If earmuffs, you can get a slim-fitting women's/children's set for around 20 bucks on Amazon. 4 year old neighbour has a pair, super cute, they fit me just fine.

I don't know if they would fit the OP's criteria, but there are plenty of earphones on Amazon in my experience that are less than £10 (or ~ $12 in US currency). That's if were are talking about personal, 'free-time' earphones. Any 'professional' ones would be pretty expensive.

I think they may have been referring specifically to ones with noise-cancelling technology. Not entirely certain, also don't know how picky OP is.

Unfortunately, NC headphones are one of those things that you get what you pay for. Bose and Sony are your best bets for truly canceling noise.

I have a set of Plantronics ANC headphones, they cost me just about a hundred and a half. They're not bad, but not as good as I was hoping for and I suspect if I just may have to save my nickels for the Bose. They actually do a good job canceling out the sound of the furnace. I've not yet tried them in a crowd.
