If two autistic people have a romantic interest in one another, how can you tell if it's genuine romantic feelings or a special interest infatuation? From either, or both sides.

I'm an Aspie in a realtionship with another Aspie & my 2nd girlfriend was also an Aspie. I think if the other is like your special interest & you have strong romantic feelings, that it is real romantic attraction. Real romantic feelings can seem like a combination of a special interests & feeling a strong infatuation.
