There is this girl I have liked for about 6-7 months now at my school, but I haven't talked to her that much, and only briefly if I do, due to being nervous. Whenever I talk to her, it seems she is a bit nervous or shy, and usually just answers my questions. I am then getting a bit of a vibe that maybe she doesn't want me to approach her because of this. What does this mean? I have acted a little nervous around her myself, so maybe that's why. Its the end of the school term with only 5 days left of me being around, so just wondering.

Also part of the reason why I don't approach her is she is usually with her group of friends, and I get pretty nervous approaching people in a group...

If you think there's a bit of a vibe between you two find some way of asking her out! In my experience the best time when you're at school is in between classes or actually in class (when she isn't in a group). Otherwise, there's stuff like Facebook or Whatsapp or whatever you guys use.

It's around exam season so if you have exams maybe ask something like: 'You want to hang out and revise for this exam?'. Basically something that is clear of your intention but not so blatant. Something you could easily do by yourself but would be nice to have a friend to accompany you. I remember it all being very complicated in school.

If you ask her to spend time alone she'll know you're asking her out whatever happens, so if she says yes you know that she likes you too. Asking face-to-face is a bold move in school these days, she might appreciate that.

Strap on a brave face! The worst she can say is no, then you can forget about her.
