Aside from costing as much as the average desktop computer, and the two year plan costing more than a very fast laptop computer.....

I think it is a time consuming waste. The only use I have for a screen on a phone is to easily read a phone number, or a list of a few phone numbers. Trying to do anything on a tiny screen like that is a waste of time. Tiny screen. Tiny buttons. Why use it when you can use a computer. The only thing I would pay more for in a phone, would be a better signal that allows me to call from inside any building without hearing static, and better signal area.

Only thing I would pay more for is if it had a little LED to use it as a mini Torch. My old phone used to have one. Unfortuantely my current one does not. I think basic phones are better than the new ones with more features. I fear that one day I will not be able to purchase these basic phones.

Smart phones are a waste, I don't know why everyone is so obsessed by them. Get a PDA and a separate phone with a modem. Better not get something where you can't get generic flash cards for unless you want to waste more money.

I beg to differ. I just bought a Palm Treo 755p (Sprint/Nextel), and I'm quite happy. It's basically my "everything" gadget; I mean, I still have my phone, contacts, text messaging, e-mail/internet, camera/camcorder, etc. but this way I can also keep up-to-date on my ever-changing work schedule, not to mention important Microsoft Office files. Just hook up to my computer and I can keep everything in sync, too. (Additional slot for mini SD cards, as well.)

Yes, admittedly my Treo costs as much as an iPhone, but I don't have to change my service package or anything, and they cut me a good deal on it.

For someone who is constantly losing a simple, cheap, paper DAY PLANNER....Treo is my new baby. LOL. :star:

Way overhyped, wasteful, overexpensive piece of f****** junk like the iPod
APPLE:stop making products, until you get your head out of your a**
Hell ,the iPhone itself is much worse than a laptop, which are usually 10x better than the iPhone at best.

I have an iPhone and I LOVE it!
I love the interface.
I love the wifi.
I love the iPod.
I love texting.
I love the widgets.
I love how small and light it is.
I love that it only costs me $20 more dollars a month than my current plan (for unlimited data and texting.) I love way it syncs with my computer.
I love watching YouTube videos on the bus or in the car or wherever I am when the mood strikes me to watch a YouTube video.
I love being able to send and receive emails wherever I am.
I love how easy it is to add contacts and then call/text/email those contacts.
I love how smart it is, how it stops the music when a call comes in and restarts the music when I press "end call."
I love visual voicemail.
I love Google Maps and how I can use it to call a business or contact.
I love the calculator.
I love the size of the screen.
I love the keyboard.
I love how the wifi loads as fast as on my MacBook and iMac and iBook.
I love the calendar.
I love how easy it is to enter information via the keyboard and it's "smart text."
I love the photos and the ability to zoom in on a picture, or flip through a photo album.
I love being able to "touch" my music.

I love my iPhone.

Jack Bauer would use an iPhone.

I prefer phones that are the old black and white screened type. With not much other functions other than sending texts, storing phone calls, telling the time, and making phone calls. I don't see how a more expensive phone could possibly do any of this better.

once upon a time they choose Quality over quantity
Sadly these days they use cheap parts and add more features
to the device!
