Best ear muffs/defenders for blocking neighbours tv/music?

Hi all

I really need something to block out my neighbours loud TV/radio that comes through my wall as its driving me to insanity. I can't concentrate on anything and I can't relax.

I'm currently borrowing someone's Bose QC3 headphones but I'm not impressed. I think since noise cancelling headphones don't block voices it's no good for TV and stuff so I'm looking for ear muffs/ear defenders instead and hoping they'll be better.

Can anyone recommend any they've used for this, purpose? Ideally they'd make me completely deaf and block out 100% of the sound but it thats not realistic as close as possible.

I'd rather not have ones that are too tight like a clamp as I'll be wearing them not so comfy would be nice. Price isn't a factor as it would be worth paying a lot for for my peace of mind!

I think the ear muffs are better than noise cancelling headphones as I always see low functioning Autistics with the most severe sensory issues wearing them.

I have a lot of luck with ear plugs. They can be bought cheaply at any convenience store. There are different brands, so you can try a few to see which are comfortable.

I use Howard Leight foam earplugs. They're about as good as any I've used, though far from perfect.
