I feel interested in reading about stuff that is morbid and I seem to think some people may think there is something wrong with you as I find it interesting like true crime, serial killers, the nazis, bloody times in history, anything that kills such as dangerous animals like ones with poison, disasters, mythical monsters etc

By the way when I said I am interested in reading about the nazis I don't agree or symphasise with the stuff they have done, they did terrible things I just find it interesting about that time in history.

The morbid and macabre has a special sort of charisma to it.

There is nothing wrong with being interested in that kind of stuff, it doesn't mean to say you will become a serial killer. It's a very interesting thing to study actually.

I also have an intense interest in serial killers, nazis, and other people with typically depraved minds. I think that you are similar to me, and are interested in the ways of human psychology. I dont think that its bad at all. Understanding human psychology can help us as individuals to find peaceful solutions for these people, and for their victims. I actually had a giant book detailing famous serial killers when I was in high school, and I loved reading it. It is fascinating and helps us to learn about how injured minds may think.

I am interested in studying these subjects from a historical perspective. Lately, I have seen a resurgence of interest in modern Greek history, including the Greek Civil War of the 1940s. The book, Eleni by Nicola Gatzoyiannis (Nick Gage) details how his mother was killed by the Communists. It is a powerful story about the evils of Communism and the strength of a mother's love for her children.

I once had an interest in everything people did to create hell on earth and it brought me to dark places, but I'm glad I visited them, it made me a better person, less naïve and blind.

I would say that it depends as to why you have an interest in such matters.
If you are simply interested in such matters and studying such things do not have an impact on your internal or external behaviour, then i am sure you are fine.

It is when people start to fantasise and worse still act out in real life based on their fantasies that such a hobby or special interest can become unhealthy.

I have studied the nazi's a bit. I have also read a couple of books on serial killers. Personally i have done so because I live on an island where there are a number of neo-nazi's covertly active, including some that could even be serial murderers. I also know of a family in the area that i live who were prosecuted for torturing and killing hundreds of domestic animals, including some of the members that are know to me who i believe are dangerous.

Studying such matters for me are more a forensic science matter, and a way to identify there particular type of sociopath. As such sociopaths do follow a pattern in their abuse.

Just be careful, because the things we read about do affect our minds to some extent.
Best to monitor yourself so that if your interest starts to become obsessive or fascinating in an unhealthy way, or if it starts making the world seem a depressing place, you know to take a break from it.
(I've had a weird interest become an obsession before and it seemed to contribute to mental health problems, so I'm not saying this for no reason)

I was interested in those things until I watched Youtube videos about the Jewish slums during the Holocaust. I watched the video titled "The Day of Smoke" which was the day that the last of the Jewish ghetto was burned down and the last of the people who lived there were put on the trains to the concentration and death camps. I've lost interest in Nazi Germany very quickly. It was a very sad day for me but I've made great strides since that day. I'm listening to The Kinks again and I'm not wearing my helmets most days of the week like I used to. I only wear them twice a week now. I even got myself a Mick Avory haircut 4 weeks ago.

Lots of people must be into that kinda stuff considering what the ID, History, & SyFy channel often show.

This statement is correct

However, this topic could easily be misunderstood as a mandated reporter violation

Agreed. I was also interested in morbid things like serial killers etc. For a while because i wondered about the difference between them and normal people. But studying these things so much can desentisize people i think so be careful with that.
