Why are parrots so wasteful when making the most of a meal is an essential part of survival ?
I'm not trying to be rude or something..
But seriously dude...
Try thinking for once in your life.
Only predators, especially large predators at the top of the food chain, for instance tigers and lions and hyenas...
Who risk their lives to get a gainful meal...
Have to make the most of every meal, because getting a meal cannot be relied on.
Or, predators, like dogs...
Who have a mediocre design and mediocre weaponry for a predator...
Who can't rely on a getting a meal...
Have to make the most of what they do get..
Neither of which, are parrots.
A parrot is a herbivorous bird.
Its not a bird of prey.
It doesn't eat meat.
Its food is there, its food is stationary, its food constantly renews its self..
Its food doesn't fight back and doesn't flee.
So a parrot doesn't need to gobble down everything in its beak and be greedy...
And at no more than 5 to 8 pounds...
It doesn't have to be a glutton either.
And not being a civilized human...
Its food is free.
It can afford to be picky, it can afford to be wasteful.
