I have little interest in the world? Is this because of AS?

I’m so happy in my own little world. Some time’s major world events have happened and I barely know the details. I’m in my own world and my own place. Is this a part of autism (in my case AS)?

As long as you can support yourself, “being in your own world” is okay.

I can't imagine what you mean. What is your typical day like?

It sounds nice and peaceful, I'm envious.
I can't escape into my own world as much as I'd like because of looking after my kids.

Both blessed and cursed parts of me, had little interest to the world.

One would rather enjoy and be free from other's ideas, go wild and simply be curious never mind what others think or feel, being too trustful for my own good.
Then the other one is practically unbridled distrust and trauma, would rather shut myself, not letting anything in or out, craves the control and the needs of things.

The former is likely unconditional and would care simply because I chose to.
The latter only cares because it's 'appropriate', a 'right' thing to do, or just out of guilt really.

Both are being inwards, just reflecting things outwardly.

I read that lack of curiosity has to do with having low intelligence. I am curious what your IQ has been tested at because the smarter you are, the more curious you are because it means you have the ability to learn. People with low intelligence lack the curiosity to know things. Which explains why people confuse ignorance with stupidity. When I hear about an incident, I will just look it up to see what it's about and have a summary of it for the sake of looking smart. But I won't spend hours reading about it like I did with the Natalia Barnett Grace case.

The world we live in is such a horrific mess. Why would anyone want to be in this world it if they could be in their own?

I would think it probably is.

I've been told that I'm intelligent, and I do have curiosity about some things, but it's mostly things that are part of my special interests.

I don't know why other people have thought I'm intelligent. Because I can draw? Because I could read and write well when I was a kid? Being good at reading and writing is not a big deal. Being good at math and logical problems, which I am not, is something that takes brains to do. :(

I have little interest in the world, because I don't like the popular culture of today and what it has to offer.
