What "icing" apparently is is seeing someone you know, but not saying hi to them. I do this frequently, particularly if I'm tired or in a bad mood. Most of the time, I just am not paying attention. My best friend recently told me that every week I "ice" her lol. I just hope others don't perceive me too negatively though

I do this a lot. I just don't notice people I know well, or don't recognize people I know slightly.

Yes, guilty of this as well. I don't pay attention, or fail to recognize people, or react too slowly and they've already looked away - I probably offend people all the time this way. It all just happens too quickly.

I'm sure I do this a lot, too, mainly because I tend to be so intently focused on whatever I happen to be doing (or talking about) at the moment that the entire rest of the world might as well not exist.
