Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones Question

Question: Wireless noise cancelling headphones such as Bose, Sony, Sennheiser, etc. Can the active noise cancelling feature be turned on with the Bluetooth turned OFF?

I own only passive noise cancelling headphones of different types including this one:



I'm contemplating buying wireless active noise cancelling headphones but I would not do this if you can't shut off the Bluetooth and still use the noise cancelling function. I'm not convinced that regular usage of any Bluetooth device pressed to the skull doesn't cause brain cancer/tumors.

No it doesn't, that doesn't even make sense. Also from the ones I have owned, nope, so unless you want to actually understand valid medical opinions then you won't be able to use them.

My pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 can do that, because a core group of NC headphone users is frequent flyers, and Bluetooth is often not allowed on flights. The catch is that you have to keep the cable connected to it, otherwise the headphones shut down after 10 minutes. If you're OK with the cable, you don't need Bluetooth to use the NC function.
