Neurotypical doublespeak for "I can understand your emotions."

Tsk. Thats something that has bothered me for a while.

When I went to the prom, my parents made a remark that my date was one the same wavelength as I.

She was eccentric, but I was (I think) too weird for her to cope with. Plus, when I run out of stuff to say, I start complining about every little thing just to avoid a akward silence; I think that really killed the relationship or any chance of starting one.

I wonder every now and then what exactly they meant. :?:

Yep, it means to understand the others emotion and to share it.

For example: If a teacher was really rude to you and you tell me you are angry at her, being on the same wavelenght means that I not only understand your emotion but would have felt the same, ie I do not think you are overeaction.

When someone says two other people are on the same wavelengh, it means that their personalitys, outlooks, behaviors are similiar. They are likely to understand and share emotional outlooks often.

I think it means that you shared similar experiences and had the same feelings. I think it's also used to indicate that someone feels connected to the person on whose wavelength they are.

Hm. Maybe also used as a pick up line.

Amazing, the things I never knew I never knew....

It means you are thinking the same way as someone else in terms of the way you feel.

It also means you can feel a bond with the other person and it makes you feel good inside.

It means you have the right to hit the person who said it with a bat and say something that makes sense.

sorry. Bitterness showing through.
