My family long since gave up on pushing me to make friends.
I have work colleagues and we know each other quite well but I maintain a firm boundary with this. Other that that there is my family and thats it. No friends and I don't yearn for them either.
When I was younger and still trying desperately to fit in a tried to cultivate a small circle of friends. What a pointless, exhausting waste if time. Now, I know better.
I have two acquaintances that I have known since primary school (so thats 55 years) - we meet up twice a year at most and thats enough for me.
