2 years ago, i said something in here that i now regret. Is there no way for me to edit it or delete it? It's causing me a lot of stress and anxiety, and i feel like i can only move on if i can erase it from existence somehow.

I said some quite negative things about myself that weren't really correct, and now i'm scared people would judge me and assume incorrect things about me if they read it.

Not sure it's possible to delete posts that old, but it it was two years ago its probably long buried by now...it's unlikely anyone will dig it back up.

It’s long-forgotten by now. Agree with Sweetleaf.

I’m glad you think differently than you thought then. It shows your progress as a person.

But there is always a chance someone may find it and bump it, it will be a good idea to ask the mod to lock that thread.

From a technological standpoint, I would be astounded if it weren't possible for an administrator to delete absolutely anything that needs to be deleted. I actually admire WP's apparently policy to leave old stuff alone, but if you really need something deleted I think you should make a reasonable request.

As Max alludes to, WrongPlanet’s policy is that users are responsible for the content of their posts.

Unless you post your real name on here, or tell real people your username, then nobody will connect you to your account.

Very very few people actually dig up old posts, usually(with acception to the corona post in the news forum)once a post is a month old, people usually forget about.

It's considered in poor taste as an unwritten rule of online forums, that it's in poor taste to dig up ancient threads, people occasionally do it but it's rare. You don't see a lot of old threads accept for sticky's and some of threads in the games forum and also some silly threads in the random forum.

Other than that old threads being dug up is rare,I don't think anyone is reading any of the old threads your ashamed of.

BTW I'm glad to see your from Denmark, there is a lot of Danish on my father's side of the family. So don't worry it's all good. 8)

People evolve. I wish people would realize that.

You were not the same person 2 years ago as you are now.

You are 2 years wiser.

On PPR it's very common.

I can recall at least five instances.

Mostly they do it to try and discredit you personally.

I have that problem too. I'm just so worried that someone from my family might join WP and start to figure out that Joe90 is their own family.

I looked at your posts from that time. There's nothing to worry about.

I saw it one time after I joined. Someone kept quoting someone else trying to elude that I was the quoted. Sickos.

But it's a pretty normal thing here to see zombie threads revive so I understand the OPs concern. If only Alex enabled a feature that auto locks threads that have been dead for a certain amount of time.
