I have doctor phobia pretty bad, and I have chronic running nose and hoarseness for years. A skin prick for allergy turned out negative. So from what I understood from my GP, the next step is nose endoscopy, which sounds horrible.

Did someone have it and can tell what it's like? And is it possible to ask for a shot that puts me to sleep first?

I also have a doctor phobia, i can't even go to the hospital without my parents.
I haven't had an endoscopy, but from what i know it's always done under general anesthesia, don't worry about it.

I've never had a nose endoscopy, but it seems the norm is to numb the area, not give the patient full anesthesia.

I totally understand about doctor phobia. I'm always nervous it's something serious and I hate not being in control over what will be done to me and have things explained unless I nag about it. I always need to know in order to be comfortable.
