Woke up to do a pee. Foot very sore. No way I could get back to sleep. Think I might have low pain/soreness threshold.

That's an interesting comment re serotonin . Had a mini brainwave and thought I'd try the soft backed slipper shoes I got a while back. I have wide feet, but these are a little wide even for me. The soreness is still there, but significantly less so now.
