I have recently been thinking of changing up some stuff in my life particularly in my style, I have often been called a good looking guy by people but I've decided the main reason I haven't had alot of luck with females in my life is I just haven't looked or dressed the part of a guy who can attract alot or even any females, I was wondering what styles do girls find the most attractive?, like style of clothes, hairstyle, I'm willing to try anything be more successful with the ladies

The shaved sides and longer on top is simple and pretty popular right now. I blame Vikings.

women are not some monolithic entity with a hive mind about men's haircuts- some women like macho looking military haircuts, some like the fabio look, some like somewhere in-between. the more important thing to pay attention to, is basic grooming as well as conversational fluency.

I don't know about this. While I don't think women have any implants to help them make use of a hive mind, I think Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest pretty much serve that function.

To respond to lancenick, different females will have their own aesthetic interests they tend to share with other females of similar interests. They're also going to tend to like what they see most often. But your goal shouldn't be to "attract females" but to "attract females with whom you'll want to be with".

If you want to attract someone who's into Goth or Steampunk, you probably don't want to appear like "Howdy Doody" (think: 1950s country singer) unless that's what you feel most comfortable. The other thing is, do you want to compete for attention among the mainstream or pick a niche? "Mainstream" is whatever is currently most popular and where everyone aspires to fit in. "Niche" is being whatever is how you feel most comfortable (well, maybe without being too unusual?).

Also, as my hair stylist would say, not every haircut looks equally good on every guy. Haircuts take into account hairline, hair thickness, shape of face, person's age, height, weight, etc.

But similar to what auntblabby said, I'm pretty sure all women are attracted to clean. Definitely be clean.

The eternal mantra of "not all women like the same things" is superflous and unhelpful. Guy asked for tips on style, not the access codes to the female hivemind.

As for OT, aside from hair, get some nice shirts. Basic, V or ring-necks, solid colours, no print. Or button-ups, if thats more your speed. Find 4 or 5 brands of clothes that you like, and focus on them to reduce the chaotic nature of shopping. If you don't already, splurge on some minor accessories; a watch, a neck chain, maybe a leather bracelet. If you wear glasses, keep them clean, well-maintained and adjusted.

Don't know your beard situation, but if you're not clean-shaven, invest in beard-oil and beard-shampoo. Unkempt beardliness is the fastest way to look unkempt. Maybe get a cologne for special occasions, but don't go overboard.

You're a ferret. Being a ferret is cheating.

Surprisingly, many women like long hair on men....considering they also like bald men.

i remember when i was younger and much better looking, women at work liked my fabio hair when i had it, and expressed disappointment when i cut it all off. it takes superior bone structure to swing short hair, as your unadorned visage then must do all the work of looking good, having big long hair distracts from a lot of facial flaws.

I think whatever is trendy witin their fave music or movie genre

is what people generally consider attractive , at least subconsciously.

Like I noticed (and pointed out to) a girl I knew that whoever she deemed the 'hottest guy ever' was always the current trendy guy in movies that she liked.

EG she liked Brad Pitt then changed to Johhny Depp then changed to Ryan Gosling etc

So hair is probably the same. Like now people seem to like long-haired with ponytail plus beard combo .. Or was that last year?

There was a time bald was considered very 'hot' among my classmates and it was because of that Vin Diesel or whatever his name is, in popular movies those days.

I had a friend in Gr 10 which was in a little rural town here - (edit to add my family moved back n forth with countries constantly so it was only that year - the next year was in a diff country where all the idolized popular guys had hair n hairbands like some soccer players )

who told me she only liked men with mohawks- which the guy she began dating later that year actually had!

He had sprayed it in different colours once.
He was really nice but my friend liked him first for his hair and would talk about him. She was new just like me so she knew his hair before him himself.

But like literally all my other friends and other girls in general -- at the bus stop i remember they would badmouth his hair to each other and be like why does he do that etc
But then they liked whatever matched their fave band too.

Like they used to love the Green Day thing and Linkin Park so they would like those style of boys (with that hair) then they liked something else so suddenly they liked a plain 'preppy' style.

I just observed thinking wow music influences people's other choices in life so much.

I'm pretty flexible with hair styles/cuts as long as it's not a bowl cut or mullet. They make me uncomfortable. The most important thing to me is that the hair is clean, it's a quality cut (not uneven or unintentionally messy), and it's well taken care of (different than cleanliness). So, good hygiene, but also knowing what products to use for your hair type even if you're like me and only use shampoo and conditioner. Using the wrong shampoo or conditioner can leave your hair looking dry, oily, or any number of things. That being said, my favourite styles are: long (to the shoulders), military, and a mix of those two. Oh, and stylishly messy. My friends all feel differently about favourite hair styles though. The best thing to do is to find something modern that feels like who you are and makes you feel confident, but make sure you do it right. Get a good cut, be hygenic, and keep it in good condition.

As for clothing, I like to be happy and I love happiness in general, so I wear clothes that make me happy or make me think of happiness. I love flowy sleeves even though they aren't practical and I like bright colors. I think it's different for guys (and some ladies). I like guys that look confident and strong. Someone who is able to protect others whether emotionally or physically. I would suggest thinking about what you spend your time doing and what clothing is most practical for that, and also what you enjoy wearing. Confidence is key in all of this, a guy could be wearing a sweatshirt and jeans or a button up with slacks, it wouldn't matter as long as they looked natural wearing them. And lastly, too many people are just wearing white, black, and grey. There's nothing wrong with white, black, and grey, but it's important to include some color in your wardrobe. Oh, and cleanliness again. Very important.

In the end, surface appearance isn't as important as who you are as a person. It is however, what strangers (and even friends) use to get an idea of who you are. The best thing to do is promote your personality through your appearance. It's kind of like a billboard, the basic idea is to advertise what you're selling, but the upkeep and modernness all affect people's view of it. Even if someone was offering to give away a $1,000,000 and a cabin, not many would look into it if the paint on the billboard was chipping and it was in an outdated format or if the cabin looked photoshopped (fake = bad).

This reply was pretty really long and confusing, sorry. I hope some of this made sense? It's a pretty opinion based subject and I'm a little sleep deprived which doesn't help. It's awesome you're looking to change your style, it's fun to switch things up every now and then. Good luck!

I don't think time will be kind to that style just like the 'mullet'. Side note my hair is halfway to that of Rollo's at this point of quarantine since March.

Don't have a lot to go on since we don't know what you look like, but I found 'success' (one and done 8)) shortly after I cut my hair so that it was similar to the fella on the right below. Coincidence? :P

As a general rule I avoid 'polo' shirts like the plague and steer clear of 'cargo' shorts.

OP, it might be easier to look through pictures (Google search) of current hair cuts for men and find a few that you think would fit your personality/lifestyle. Post your top choices and we can give input. Ideally you should have something that gives you confidence, isn't more maintenance than what your lifestyle demands, and suits you personally.

And it's been said already but I'll reiterate: the most important thing across the board is to appear well kempt.

In high school I found that being the guy with the mohawk got me substantially more attention. I feel like if I shave my head in a goofy haircut again, it'll be 'Louis Cyphre hair' and that should probably be more of a bi-hawk to look like horns. :clown:
