When I take my Dexedrine, they DO help with my ADHD symptoms... but there seems to be a catch: It only seems to work when I'm alone and doing something with active mental effort involved with no external stimuli. If there are for instance, other people around to aggravate or overwhelm me, or if I get into any conflict at all or anything makes me feel upset.... all of a sudden the helpful effects of the medications goes away and I just go into this hyper-aware dysphoria where I feel upset and just agitable until I can get several hours alone and maybe it'll work right again but half the time this dysphoria lasts until the medication wears off at night. This is upsetting because this med has changed my life for the better in many ways but I feel like I cannot be around other people when I'm on it. Does anybody else experience this, is there anything I could take with it to help with this?

I've been on dexamphetamine for over 20 years and I find the opposite it some ways. Other people seem to be more sensitive to me taking it that I am. When I forget to take it I don't notice usually, but people who know me well do and I'll get the question "did you take your meds today".
