What do you guys think of this? I can't think of a title for it...


By the noose
By the axe
By the firing squad

For my sins I wish to be slain

By the gas
By the needle
By the electric chair

In the eternal darkness I feel no pain

I have done nothing to deserve this
Yet I am guilty and do not deserve to live
For I am human, and to be alive is evil
I take so much from this world, but am unable to give
Consume! Consume! Consume!
Like a hungry little grub

I poison the seas, I blacken the skies
I know it's wrong, I deserve to die
I desire repentance, I'm sick of lies

I feel it deep inside
Where this fear within me resides
My heart stops forever as my eyes shut

I will accept the pain
As I lay waiting to be slain
Hearing words of peace in my last moments

They were kind enough to cover my eyes
So I don't have to see it coming

Free from all the hate
Free from all the sorrow
Free from all the fear

No more will I feel afraid
No more will I feel anger
No more will I feel tears


Now nothing binds me to this world
My punishers have freed me from its oppression
In this endless starless night I will know paradise
The only true salvation

I will be waiting for you all here in the dark.
When there is no more life left in the light.

You are a strong poet

would that i could write as well as you

I don't know anything about poetry or the rules of a good poem but it is well-written. You should write more, if you have a chance.

mebbe write something of hope, in the vein of MLK?

Nothing wrong with dark poetry. I like it!
