Is there any connections between crohn's disease and autism?

Can people with autism also have crohn's disease?

Most people who have a formal diagnosis were born prematurely.

People who were born prematurely often have other health problems.

I imagine that for some getting crohn's disease may be a risk although the medical community's understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder really isn't that developed at this point, and a great deal of why people get various diseases and ailments are still very ambiguous.

If you have not got a diagnosis of crohn's disease at this point, i wouldn't worry unduly.

Yes. People with autism can have crohn's disease.
I do not see any relation between the two conditions as crohn's disease is due to prolonged diabetis which has not been treated in time, and autism has to do with the brain where either one or more brain connections has not connected, where the brain then develops other connections instead while the brain is developing, which is why the symptoms can considerably vary within the autism spectrum, and why it is a spectrum as one single missing brain connection and someone else with another missing brain connection can understandably vastly vary in the outcome.

I just wish people would stop associating every possible disease out there with autism.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread here yet associating autism with COVID.

Many NT's have Crohn's Disease. Many autistic folks, too.

It's a lousy disease.

My mother has "Crohn's Colitis." She's NT.
