Depends on your idea of What success might look. Like to you as a person ... it does help to count the small successes and work your way up ..

Life is most certainly not over. Some people “win” early in their lives, and some only are able to reach their goals later on when they have had more experience.

As a late-bloomer myself, I used to feel like I had come around to everything too late and I had missed out on the best things during my youth. But I haven’t. In fact, if I had achieved the things I thought I wanted back then, I would probably feel stuck with them now. I didn’t fully know what my values were then and was too hung up on societal pressures.

It just takes longer for some people. It may take a little longer for you. It’s not over!

At 24 your life isn’t over. There’s plenty of time to earn those things. At 24 I had debt and no money, now at 38 I have some things & some money. I also still have Most of my lifespan to live and work towards earning more things - and at 24 you have even more time than I do. You’re 24, not 94, no sense in giving up before you even really get started.

Winners and losers are not awarded until the end

Not everyone defines success the same way

This!

I can list a bunch of things I’ve never done, accomplished, or achieved - and by those metrics I’m a loser/failure.

I can Also list a bunch of things that I Have done in life, and by those metrics I’m a winner/success.

We all do it, but there’s no sense in comparing ourselves to others and measuring our success by metrics that we think make them successful. Like, some pro NBA player is an ace at shooting hoops and is Wildly successful with championship rings and a multimillion dollar contract etc.. meanwhile, I’m pretty terrible at basketball, haven’t won anything let alone a championship, and have made a lifetime total of $0 playing professional basketball.. so, while his accomplishments in that arena Do make him successful, does my lack of similar accomplishments make me a failure?? Only if I convince myself that my success ought to be measured the same way as his.

Do you have health, though? As in, no serious illnesses or bad physical disabilities? If yes, then you've definitely won at life in one area! :D

Also, 24 is still young for all of those things.

Plus it takes almost all of us on the spectrum longer to achieve various life milestones. We have an emotional age of 2/3rds our chronological age, so it’s little wonder we’re behind our peers. Add in the social deficits that affect work/relationships etc and we can Very Easily grant ourselves At Least an extra 10-15 Years to accomplish the same things as NT’s typically do by X age.

Winning and loosing are merely old fashioned labels. The important thing to remember is how you view events in your life the how you react to each one. No one "wins" at everything. For example you have a wife, but trapped in a miserable marriage. You are too young to foster such an attitude. Life is what you make it. Chin up and keep moving forward.

I think you should seek a therapist.
